Skyhawks Conclude Volleyball Season
The Skyhawks traveled to College of Lake County for the Region 4 volleyball tournament this weekend. They opened up with a 3-0 quarterfinal win on Saturday against South Suburban by scores of 25-21, 25-14 & 25-15.
On Sunday morning the Skyhawks upset top seeded Moraine Valley in a 5 set marathon by scores of 25-20, 20-25, 23-25, 25-23 & 15-11 to advance to the finals. The win marked the 8th straight time that this group of Skyhawks were able to pull off a win when the match went to 5 sets.
In the finals Sauk was matched up against Waubonsee. The Skyhawks won the first set, but lost the last 3, coming just short of forcing a 5th set with a tough 27-29 loss in the 4th set.
With the Runner-Up finish, Sauk ended their season with a record of 28-15.
